Recreational Dance:‍ ‍

Sept – May 0 Competitions

Jazz Technique: ‍ ‍ *Mandatory for Competitive Acro Classes

45 Mins/Week

Classes will not participate in the year end performance or competitions unless there is a group that would like to compete and then we can create a group for this.

Class will focus on Jazz Technique. This technique involves using the whole body to communicate musically and typically sharper movements. It is a fun genre of dance and usually has upbeat music and dance steps.

Lyrical/Contemporary Technique:

45 Mins/Week

Class will not participate in year end performance or competitions unless there is a group that would like to compete and we can create a group for this.

Class will focus on 2 different dance techniques:

Lyrical - is all about flowy movements and dancing out a storyline. Some of it is hard hitting but lyrical is mostly about flowy and expansive movements.

Contemporary - is more hard hitting, quirky movements that also tell a story. Some of it is about flowy movements, still moments, breath work, and then sharp movement.

Both of these techniques work on facial expressions, telling a story, and using our bodies to create that story.

Pom:

45 Mins/Week

Seasonal Class - will participate in year end performance. We will discuss competitions as a group to see if we would like to compete.

Pom is a combination of many dance styles such as: Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro, and Cheerleading. You will use Poms as a prop to showcase strong and exciting motions and dance steps that will highlight and uplift their confidence and personalities. ‍ ‍
